Online play in BC
In British Columbia, gambling is legal only when the provincial government runs it. PlayNow.com, run by BCLC, is the only legal online gambling site in the province. The regulator, the Independent Gambling Control Office, says all other online gambling sites accepting BC players operate illegally in BC.
A private online casino carries none of the provincial protections. PlayNow limits and Game Break self-exclusion do not apply there, and complaints cannot go to the provincial regulator. The Field Sheet's paid links, marked Ad, lead to one private online casino partner. That partner pays the Field Sheet a commission and can change.
